Rajkummar Rao
National Award–winning actor; signature of new-wave Hindi cinema.
Rajkummar Rao is a Film and Television Institute of India alumnus whose career began with small parts in Love Sex Aur Dhokha and Kai Po Che! before the title role in Hansal Mehta's Shahid (2013) won him the National Film Award for Best Actor.
He has since anchored Newton, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Stree and its sequel, Trapped, Badhaai Do, and Srikanth. His filmography is unusually range-heavy - he moves between comic leads, socio-political dramas, and horror-comedies with equal visibility.
Rao speaks on preparation, the first-generation actor's route through Mumbai, and the long unglamorous rehearsal that precedes a character audiences remember. His corporate and campus sessions are grounded in process rather than anecdote.
